-In order to get PPI low enough to not require text scaling, a 43″ monitor or greater is preferred.
-Contrast and sharpness are excellent. As good as any smaller monitor out there.
-As others have reported, there is a shadow effect of the last 2-3 mm’s of the edge of the screen which can cause obscurity. Changing to large icons resolves the issue.Unless you are reading text on the last 3mm of your screen which most people are not, you should be fine.
-Upon further examination of other monitors, I have found that the shadow effect is not unique to this Dell. It is just more noticeable on the 43″ Dell at least partially because the screen size is big enough to create more acute angles to your eyes.
-Brightness is very high.
-Controls utilize hard buttons which is great.
-Stand is very good. It is solidly built and very compact for a monitor this size. The base is nice and flat so you can put stuff on it. Tilt adjustment only though (no swivel, no height).
-It’s nice to have integrated speakers for convenience. Sound quality is functional – you probably won’t want to listen to music with it.
